Carbon Surfacing Veil 120

Carbon Surfacing Veil Series – Needle Punch

  • carbon fiber veil
  • carbon veil tissue
  • carbon fiber veil nonwoven
  • carbon fiber tissue

Brief

Carbon Surfacing Veil is an advanced, nonwoven carbon fiber (approx. 1” in length) needle punched together in a random fiber matrix.

This Tissue is one type of new substrate material for FRP/GRP articles.

Different as wet-out carbon tissue, this tissue afford high weight: 80g/m2, 100g/m2, 120g/m2.

CHARACTERITICS

This non-woven construction allows a resin-rich surface that increases chemical stability and reduces the risk of micro-cracks forming in the composite surface.

  • This veils is compatible with all epoxy and polyester, vinyl-ester resin systems.

  • Carbon surfacing veils is suitable for Light RTM, RTM, Infusion Vacuum, vacuum bagging manufacturing.

COMPONENTS

  • Total weight from :80, 100, 120g/m2.

  • Width from: 50, 200, 250 to 2600mm or sub multiple cut.

CARBON SURFACING VEIL

  • Carbon Surfacing Veil 120

  • Carbon surfacing veil in 120 g/m2 by needle-punched processing.

ADVANTAGES

  • Rub resistance.

  • Good Elongation.

  • Corrosion resistance.

  • Without chemical binder.

  • Bright & Smooth surface.

  • Uniform fiber distribution.

  • High-temperature resistance.

  • Conductivity, heat-conductive.

  • Excellent permeability and absorbability.

  • Aerolotropism, soft, can be used to weave.

  • High tensile strength and Young’s modulus Along the fiber axis.

APPLICATIONS

  • Carbon fiber, also known as graphite fiber, is one of the strongest and hardest reinforcing materials. If properly designed, carbon fiber advanced composites can achieve the strength and stiffness of metal parts with significant weight reduction.

  • In addition to the high strength weight ratio and stiffness weight ratio, carbon fiber also has thermal conductivity and conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion, and excellent fatigue resistance.

  • Our materials used in industrial products need to enhance corrosion resistance and surface thermoplastic welding test static loss.

  • Carbon surfacing veil is widely used in industry: These include pultruded handrails, walkways, cable trays, cable ladders, etc., EMI shielding applications, composite roll surfaces, honeycomb facing paper, circuit board reinforcement, fuel cell assemblies, and film bonding substrates.

  • This needle punched carbon fiber tissue can make the surface of FRP/GRP articles smooth, conceal veins of woven roving, fabric or textile, pliantly affix the surface of complex structural shaped articles with their good elongation.

  • Cover of Electronic Instrument Covers made of carbon surfacing veil has more thin and lighter shell, high strength and stiffness for creep resistant, and EMC & RFI protection.

  • Electronic Industry Electronic components, devices & industrial equipment stage decorated with carbon surfacing veil can effect EMC & RFI protection and ESD, and this veil can be used in reflection satellite.

  • This veils can be used to provide a smooth covering for bulk carbon composite structures or to add stiffness with minimal weight gain and thickness.

USEAGE

  • Place the veil in a mold directly behind the surface coat to minimize the print-through of the heavier reinforcing cloths applied later.

  • This veil will permit surface sanding of finished parts without compromising the reinforcing fabric below.

  • Use it with sandwich cores. Place the veils directly over the core to optimize bond-line.

  • The carbon surfacing veils is suit for chemical and petrochemical industries, for flue gas desulphurisation and for scrubbing systems for incinerator plants.
