Henkel Launches Anti-Thunder Composite Epoxy-based Surface Film for Aircraft

With the increasing demand for high quality surface processing of related components, the use of composite materials in aerospace engineering is increasing.

Le Tai ea 9845 LC Aero is a composite epoxy based surface film containing light conductive foil.

The development of the Le Thai EA 9845 LC Aero is designed to improve the surface quality of Honeycomb hollow composite components while protecting them from lightning damage.

This product reduces surface defects by 30% compared to the existing surface film weight and minimizes the preparation requirements for the spray paint. In addition, the expanded conductive foil can maximize lightning protection. The new product also simplifies damage fixes caused by lightning strikes.

Le Thai EA 9845 LC Aero To create a durable, high-quality, spray-resistant, 9845 LC Aero is consistent with the trend towards lightweight construction, allowing aircraft manufacturers to reduce the weight of the surface film by up to 30%.

The surface film provided by Henkel has lower unit area weight, can minimize the deformation of honeycomb core material and reduce core mark (core Mark-through).

Ultraviolet radiation resistance enhancement, can eliminate spraying before the grinding and rework necessary. Even if not polished, the 9845 LC Aero also has good paint capability, which increases the durability of the machined surface of the composite parts.

The chemical resistance of the paint stripping agent can reduce the time required for the mask, thus reducing the surface processing cost of the composite parts.

The surface film also has extra flexibility because it can be processed at 120°⾄ to 176°c temperature range. Innovative Lego ea 9845 Lcaero can be used in fuselage, wing, engine short cabin and control table.
