Upgrade Your equipment with Specialized Winding Technology

The method involves winding prepreg around some form (mandrel) that represents a rotating body. Prepreg preparation, e.g. impregnation of wire or fabric with adhesive, can be done immediately before winding the filler through a special dipping bath, or after the filler is wound onto the mould.

This method is used for the manufacture of rotating bodies: pipes for the oil and gas, chemical industry; outlet pipes; tanks for storage and transport of chemically active products, water, fuels and lubricants; industrial tanks.

Tanks and piping made of fiberglass offer many advantages over similar products made of traditional materials.

The cost of equipment and accessories depends largely on the winding method and the diameter of the manufactured product.

Winding ensures the creation of an oriented structure of the product, taking into account the shape and handling characteristics of the product. Using high strength fiberglass bundles, tapes, wires as amplifiers helps to achieve maximum product strength.

Winding is one of the methods of producing special products, which can be produced in various configurations and sizes: the smallest can be a few centimeters long and a few millimeters in diameter; the smallest can be a few centimeters long and a few millimeters in diameter; examples of large products are lighthouses, Shells of ships and rail tank cars.

In the manufacture of simple products such as pipes, continuous winding achieves maximum economic efficiency and thus ensures high volume production. Producing precision parts with variable diameters requires a batch process.

We offer specialized winding equipment manufactured by MVP with computer controlled spiral and circular winding capabilities combined with chopped glass roving.

Complete installations can include application of surface yarns, chopped glass rovings, sand, resin spray systems, circular wound filaments, helical filament wounds, unidirectional tape, fiberglass, colored resin or plastic materials and resin surfaces, gel coats , Epoxy, Vinyl, Ester, etc. No other winding machine offers such possibilities. All of this can be applied to the various diameters of mandrels mounted on the drive unit, which in turn are divided into groups according to the length and diameter of the mandrels:

Front/rear drives – length 6 – 12 m

• From 0.5 m to 2.4 m
• From 2.4 m to 4.2 m
• From 4.2 m to 10.0 m

Cantilever drive – up to 6 m in length
• From 0.6 m to 1.8 m
• From 1.8 m to 3.6 m
