Dymriton’s Product List
Closed Mold processes provide a straightforward approach to crafting laminates with abundant glass content and superior mechanical characteristics.
This technology ensures dependable reproducibility and offers an efficient means to produce components demanding precise dimensional accuracy.
Dymriton’s closed mold products find primary application in rigorous sectors like marine, wind energy, transportation, and construction.
These encompass a range of reinforcements including, Flow Mat, Multiflow, Stitched mat, X-flow +45/-45, infusion fabrics, adhesive reinforcements.
Flow Mat
Flow Mat is a specialized reinforcement primarily utilized in the RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) process.
Traditional Flow Mat typically comprises three layers: chopped fibers on each side of a porous, synthetic Flow Media (PP), facilitating optimal resin flow.
Dymriton DymFlow, distinguished by its binder-free structure, offers excellent drapeability, superior resin flow, and compatibility with various resins.
The weight of Mat layers ranges from 200 to 1450g/m2. Examples include layers of chopped fiber on both sides of synthetic flow media, such as M300/PP180/M300, ensuring easy drape and rapid wet-out, as well as layers of chopped fiber stitched onto synthetic flow media, suitable for use with other reinforcements, like M450/PP180.
MultiFlow
Multiflow is specifically designed for closed mold applications. It serves as a structural reinforcement, combining multiaxial or woven fabric with layers of chopped fiber and flow media, resulting in superior mechanical properties compared to traditional Combiflow.
Multiflow ranges in weight from 700 to 3000g/m2. It comes as a single package where flow media is integrated with reinforcement fabric, such as Flow media/Biax 800g/M300.
Stitched Mat
Stitched Mat by Dymriton is a highly adaptable specialized product renowned for its exceptional conformability, facilitating the seamless application of thick layers of reinforcement in a single operation.
It finds utility across various techniques including hand lay-up, press molding, continuous molding, and RTM.
Weighing between 450 to 1200g/m2, it comprises chopped fibers stitched with thermoplastic yarn, omitting the need for chemical binders.
This absence enhances wet-out time and enhances the mechanical performance of the laminate.
Biaxial +45/-45
The Biaxial +45/-45 reinforcements are tailored to facilitate optimal resin flow, a crucial aspect in achieving successful infusion production.
Dymriton’s infusion reinforcements are meticulously crafted to regulate resin flow throughout the infusion process.
The distinctive channel structure of these reinforcements accelerates mold filling speed and guarantees thorough impregnation of vital areas.
With one layer of X-flow, multiple layers of standard reinforcements can be effectively wet out. Weighing between 600 to 2400g/m2, this unique +45/-45 reinforcement enhances mold filling speed for improved performance.
Infusion Fabrics
Infusion Fabrics by Dymriton consist of fiber layers arranged in up to four directions (0, 90, +45, -45, +60, -60) and are either stitched together or powder bonded.
The stitching configurations can be customized to accommodate the requirements of a particular process.
Additionally, chopped glass fiber layers or tissue can be incorporated.
With a weight range of 300 to 2400g/m2, these fabrics feature optimized fiber structures tailored to provide strength in specific directions.
Adhesive Reinforcements
It offered by us feature a polyester and vinylester compatible adhesive coating, available in widths of up to 127 cm.
This adhesive ensures the reinforcement remains securely in place during loading and closure of the mold. With weights ranging from 300 to 2400g/m2, this option is available for most of our reinforcements.
New High Strength Unidirectional Reinforcement
Presenting Dymriton’s latest innovation: the New High Strength Unidirectional Reinforcement. This cutting-edge powder bonded UD reinforcement offers a range of advantages:
