The Difference Between Carbon Fiber Felt and Graphite Felt

Properties:

Carbon Fiber Felt is made of diene, aromatic and hydrocarbon as raw materials. After applying potential polymerization and amorphous structure, it has a three-dimensional network structure, producing a polymer material with properties such as softness, hardness, high temperature tolerance and strength. It can withstand temperatures up to 1400°C. Graphite felt is mainly made of graphene, and high calcium sulfide is added to process graphene into a flat material. It has excellent heat resistance and can withstand temperatures up to 2000°C.

Uses:

Carbon Fiber Felt is usually used for thermal insulation of aircraft and spacecraft, thermal protection of fire launch equipment, and high-tech equipment such as supercapacitors. Graphite felt is usually used in high-temperature conditions, such as steam turbine heat exchangers and general industrial dryers, and is used for normal heat release in the electronics and automotive fields.

Special Functions:

Carbon Fiber Felt has the characteristics of slag resistance, corrosion resistance, heat insulation, good thermal shock resistance, dielectric properties, thermal and acoustic insulation properties, and tensile strength. Graphite felt has the characteristics of nutrient quality, good thickness uniformity, and strong damage resistance.

Cost:

Due to the complex production process of carbon fiber felt, the cost of carbon fiber felt is several times more expensive than graphite felt.
