Our commitment to sustainability drives us to innovate and pioneer eco-friendly solutions that benefit both our customers and the planet.
Product Description: Continuous Filament Mat (CFM)
Our Continuous Filament Mat (CFM) is a non-woven fabric composed of continuous filaments randomly oriented in multiple layers. Bonded with a silane coupling agent and a suitable binder, CFM products are compatible with various resin systems, including unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, and polyurethane. Ideal for injection molding, RTM, and S-RIM processes, CFM mats offer exceptional rigidity, allowing for the molding of complex parts with ease. With excellent mechanical properties and good electrical characteristics, CFM mats are well-suited for applications in high-voltage electrical apparatus, transportation, automotive industries, and infrastructure equipment.
Key Features of CFM:
Our Continuous Filament Mat (CFM) is engineered with a host of innovative features designed to elevate performance and streamline processing in composite manufacturing. Explore the key attributes that set CFM apart:
Insoluble Binder: CFM is fortified with an insoluble binder, enhancing the integrity and cohesion of the mat structure. This ensures consistent performance and durability throughout the molding process.
Continuous Fiber: The use of continuous fibers in CFM results in superior structural integrity and strength, providing exceptional reinforcement for composite materials. This continuous filament design minimizes weak points and enhances overall material properties.
Softness and Pliability: Despite its robust construction, CFM retains a soft and pliable texture, making it easy to handle and manipulate during fabrication. This characteristic facilitates seamless processing and ensures optimal results in complex molding applications.
Conformability to Complex Shapes: CFM exhibits remarkable flexibility and adaptability, conforming effortlessly to intricate shapes and contours without the risk of wrinkling or creating resin-rich areas. This ensures uniform reinforcement distribution and enhances the quality of finished composite parts.
Resistance to Relocation: Even under the pressures of molding and resin flow, CFM remains steadfast in its position within the mold, resisting displacement and maintaining structural integrity throughout the manufacturing process. This stability minimizes the risk of defects and ensures consistent part quality.
High Porosity and Low Resin Resistance: With its high porosity and low resistance to resin flow, CFM facilitates rapid wet-through and impregnation, leading to increased productivity and shorter cycle times. This efficient resin flow promotes thorough saturation of the mat and maximizes composite consolidation, resulting in high-quality finished products.

Packaging and Storage
Our CFM mats are meticulously packaged to ensure protection during handling and transportation. Each roll is wound on a hard carton tube and wrapped with PE stretch film. With trimmed edges and standardized dimensions, our rolls are efficiently palletized for storage and transportation. To maintain product integrity, storage in a cool, dry warehouse is recommended, with ideal conditions between 15°C and 35°C and relative humidity between 35% and 75%. Conditioning the product in the workshop for at least 24 hours before use is also recommended to prevent condensation and ensure optimal processing conditions.
