Exceptional CFM Mat: Transforming Complex Molding Challenges

Continuous Filament Mat offers exceptional suitability for intricate shapes that undergo high deformation in closed molding processes, ensuring outstanding translucency in panel applications. Crafted from corrosion-resistant E-CR glass, it comprises continuous filaments randomly oriented without any binder, synthetic core, or stitched yarn.

Product Benefits:

Challenging Applications:

Boasts good drapability and high-stretching capabilities, facilitating ease of conformability to complex contours. Easy splicing and overlapping support the design of large and intricate parts.

Improved Surface Aesthetics:

The open mat structure facilitates consistent resin distribution across the surface, resulting in a smooth appearance beneath the gelcoat.

Utilization of glass material ensures excellent panel clarity and translucency without the need for synthetic core or stitching.

Enhanced Performance:

Continuous fibers deliver high tensile and flexural performance to the final product.

Absence of organic binder enhances smoke and fire resistance properties.

Corrosion Resistance:

Offers superior corrosion resistance compared to standard E-glass, ensuring prolonged service life in applications prone to corrosion.

Application:

CFM is compatible with unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, polyurethane, and epoxy resin systems. It is intended for use in manufacturing complex shapes, translucent panels, and fire-retardant applications across various industries, including recreation, automotive, heavy trucks, and commercial buildings.

Availability:

CFM is accessible worldwide. Roll width varies based on mat weight, with standard widths of 125 or 250 cm (49.2 or 98.4 inches). Additional widths are available upon request.

Packaging (Standard Reference):

Each roll is wound on a 103 mm internal diameter cardboard tube and wrapped with transparent stretch film.

Storage:

It is recommended to store glass fiber products in a cool, dry area, ideally between 10°C and 35°C with a relative humidity of 35% to 85%. Keep the products in their original packaging until use. If stored below 15°C, bring the product to the workshop, within its original packaging, at least 24 hours before use to prevent condensation. The packaging is not waterproof, so protect the product from weather and water sources. There is no known shelf life, but retesting after three years from the production date is advised for optimal performance.
