2 Primer Treatment On The Surface Of The Model
The original model is usually repaired with putty and then sprayed with primer. The model’s shaped areas and R corners will be deformed or distorted if putty is used to scrape. However, spraying primer has advantages. Spraying primer only thickens the original shape. The effect of model processing determines the “life” of the mold.
3 L-RTM Mold Gel Coat
The mold gel coat is very important, including hardness, brightness, toughness, pinholes, etc. If the mold gel coat is too hard, it is easy to crack and difficult to mold. The pinholes and bubble removal of the mold gel coat are related to the operation. A good mold gel coat must have all the advantages.
4 L-RTM Fatigue Resistant Layer
The resin of the mold fatigue resistance layer is the most critical, but the fiber is more important. The glue content of the surface layer, the paste making method, try not to apply putty.
5 L-RTM Mold Reinforcement Layer
The mold reinforcement layer mainly considers shrinkage, and generally uses zero shrinkage resin and strong core mat. The paste thickness is determined according to the size and structure of the mold.

Lightweight RTM does not require high reinforcement. The frame is made of metal or wood and can withstand the weight of the mold.
