ESI Show 2010 PAM-RTM Process

The pouring process is widely used to make large parts such as wind blades or wing boxes.

However, for the large, complex parts produced by different composite materials, the vent and injection strategy is the real challenge, the resin through the thickness of the inserts are uneven.

Until now, no simulation tools have been able to accurately handle these large or complex components requiring vacuum modeling, cost savings, and time-saving.

The PAM-RTM is part of the design, performance, and manufacturing simulation of ESI composite components.

The PAM-RTM version includes a high-performance solver that enables the calculation of distributed memory processing (DMP) for the simulation of liquid composite molding (LCM) processes.

Based on the liquid composite molding process, it covers a variety of manufacturing processes, helping engineers and designers to quickly and effectively evaluate the manufacturing strategy and optimize the production parameters, regardless of the size of the parts.

Due to DMP’s ability to solve and the optimized graphical interface, components using millions of elements can now be processed, and more importantly, the simulations can be completed in a few hours.

PAM-RTM is a unique and powerful tool for the wind and aerospace industry, producing complex or large-scale liquid composite forming components.
