How does Vacuum Infusion Molding Work? (Small Yacht)
Let’s introduce it to you:
Step 1: Clean the mold → Apply release agent → Wipe it with a clean cotton cloth to make the mold surface clean and free of any impurities. If there is wax stain, it needs to be water-grinded and polished.
Step 2: Prepare the required amount of gel coat for the product and prepare the curing agent. Try to do a small sample experiment before this to control the curing time to half an hour to an hour. You can use a brush to apply it, or you can use a spray gun. If you use a brush, you need to use a used brush, otherwise the brush will shed hair and cause impurities on the gel coat surface. If it is a gun spray nozzle at 3.0~3.5, it will not be ideal if it is too small or too large.
Step 3: Lay the layer. The surface of the layer needs surface mat to ensure that there will be no traces of the reinforcement material texture on the surface and ensure the density of the gel coat layer and the reinforcement layer → continuous mat → composite mat → multi-axial cloth, etc. The thickness is designed according to the requirements of the product.
Step 4: demoulding cloth (cover all reinforcement layers and the outer edge should be wrapped with spiral tube to prevent vacuum bag film from being punctured under vacuum negative pressure) → isolation film can be placed under omega tube or spiral tube → flow guide tube → spiral tube along the outer edge → sealed vacuum bag → vacuum pump working → resin infusion → curing and demoulding
(Here is an introduction on why flow guide net is not used, now closed mold mat(Flow Mat) has flow guide effect)
